About the course

This course is an open minded response for those who look for new ways of management in today’s competitive environment, which involves switching from the traditional economy to the information economy.

The course gives a flexible and practical approach of the Project Manager profession, using formal strategies that help to control the project and meet the objectives: bringing the project on schedule, within the budget and according to specifications. But to make this possible it is necessary to understand the project environment and develop the necessary skills to deal with resources, communication, risks and procurement.

Based in the PMBOK, the most worldwide spread project management frame, the course includes case studies to help understand the strategies, as well as examples of relevant projects that have been successful from the Project Management point of view.

The course is structured in a module that has a standalone one week time configuration. It may be explored whether in Barcelona, Spain, or in Almere, Netherlands.

Certified (PMP®) trainers.

Framework theoretical concepts will be combined with the practical application through projects developed by the working teams formed by the participants. Project based learning combined with learning by doing methodology will be applied by the lecturing team and will be actively used during the course. Case studies and individual lectures will be assigned and students will be asked to solve practical situations. Alternative solutions will be discussed and analyzed during classes. And finally, your imagination will be challenged and your agility tested.

At the conclusion of the course, you will be able to create a project life cycle, a statement of work, a work breakdown structure, a schedule, a budget and a risk management plan. Your imagination will be challenged and your agility tested. You will meet people from different countries and you will perform from inside two different scenarios (Spain and Netherlands)
