Mr. Neamtu graduated the Airspace Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania, in 1989. After a short period in the aircraft company ROMAERO, he moved to the Maritime University and then the Ovidius University of Constanta as lecturer in strength of materials, computational mechanics and numerical methods. In 1995 he started to work as researcher in the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) of UPC, Barcelona, participating to several European research projects. Between 1997 and 2009 he was technical director in a private commercial software company and he managed R&D projects with partners all over the world (Autoform, FCI, Gamesa Eolica, KHI, MHI, Bombardier, ADA, Corus/Tata, Rafael, AISIN etc.). In 2007 he started to collaborate with the Business Engineering School of La Salle Barcelona teaching project management classes and presently he holds the position of Academic Director at La Salle Almere Campus. He is also member of La Salle Barcelona academic board.  Laurentiu owns two master degrees in technical sciences (Experimental stress analysis and Numerical methods in engineering) and one master degree in project management. Since 1996 he owns a PhD in Engineering (computational solid mechanics). He is the author of more than 100 technical and scientific seminars and articles related to computational mechanics and project management and he owns several international professional certifications (PMP, CSM, Prince2). He communicates in 8 languages.
